Cooper Jones, Vice President

Cooper Jones serves as Vice President of Metro Commercial’s Miami office and is responsible for Metro’s Tenant Advisory Services platform in Miami.  Cooper’s background in Real Estate Development and sales include recent projects such as American Dream Miami, a 7.2 million square foot, $4 billion entertainment, retail center; a 15-acre mixed-use project north of Miami’s Design District; and a 155-acre mixed-use development in Melbourne, Florida.  Prior to Real Estate Development, Cooper was the Vice President and founding member of a behavioral healthcare marketing and consulting firm where he was responsible for the acquisition and oversight of all new business. A native and 40-year resident of Miami, Cooper has built strong roots and a large network in South Florida.


DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Edgar Jones, Developer

Edgar Jones 

Mr. Jones was recently Vice President and Regional Development Officer for the Southeast Region for the Rockefeller Group Development Corporation, well known as a national owner, developer and manager of prestigious commercial real estate properties.  Before joining Rockefeller, he served as Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, and as Director of Office Services for Grubb & Ellis. 

Mr. Jones was partner with Mr. Gorlow in the pre-development of a 500-unit multifamily project in West Palm Beach which received approval from the West Palm Beach City Commission for the rezoning from 4-story residential to a 15-story height limit.   In addition, Mr. Jones is providing consulting services to American Dream Miami, a $4 Billion entertainment and retail project planned for Miami-Dade County.  He also served as a real estate consultant to the world famous Pininfarina industrial design firm based in Italy.

 A native Floridian, Mr. Jones graduated from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. He served on the Advisory Board of the University of Florida’s Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies and served as its Chairman.  Mr. Jones is also a Founding Member of the Real Estate Advisory Board of the University of Miami School of Architecture and served as its Chairman. He is a Member of the NAIOP Developer’s Forum.


Bob Gorlow, Developer

Bob Gorlow started his career with Prudential Insurance Company’s development arm in Silicon Valley where he rose to be Vice President, Head of Investments and Development in Florida and later for the West Coast of the United States.  He was also the Chief Real Estate Analyst to Prudential’s Investment Committee. He was Head of Marketing and was the Project Manager for seven million square feet of retail, office and office-flex product.  During his tenure in Florida, he oversaw the completion of the Alhambra Hotel and Office mixed-use development in downtown Coral Gables and the approvals of and ultimate disposition of Prudential’s 300-acre mixed-use project.  While in Los Angeles, Bob was responsible for over $1.5 billion in property of all types, including over 10,000 units of multi-family rental apartments.

Bob later worked for Property Trust of America as head of acquisitions.  Later, in early 1997, Bob formed new ventures for the development of mixed-use projects in Florida - a  two million sq. ft. town center in western Broward County with Turnberry Associates; Coconut Creek Commons, a 2.15 million sq. ft. commercial and 3,750 multi-family residential unit mixed-use development; Destin Commons, a 600,000 sq. ft. mixed use project in Destin, Florida; and the repositioning of  Pointe Orlando, a 500,000 sq. ft. entertainment center adjacent to the Orange County Convention center in Orlando.
